Your be loved young pigeon is sent to a Derby Race Loft with decent sum of money. Normally, owner of
pigeon in the race is basically in dark until race is over. Even race is over, what owner could be
informed is merely "Win or not", hardly anything more.
先不考慮成本問題, 如果公棚能做到下列幾點, 應該可以讓參賽的鴿友更高興:
Put first cost of operation aside, fanciers enter pigeon to the derby race should be much happier if the
following things can be done to increase the transparency of the loft/race:
1.定期為參賽鴿拍照, 如果鴿體拍照費時,鴿眼或頭部特寫也可以,參賽者只要一上網,就能看到自己愛鴿的影像.
Periodically, photo of eyes or features of face of pigeon, if not body are taken so that fanciers can
view image of his(her) own pigeon on internet.
2.如果每舍設有網路攝影機, 24小時監控賽鴿及人員活動. 公平性會提高很多.
If webcams can be installed to monitor activity of both pigeon/managing staff, owner should feel much
safer to enter the pigeon to the race.
3.使用定時餵食器餵食, 避免人為干預.
Auto feeding device(with timers) can be used to feed pigeon so as to minimize risk of interference/aids
by managing staff to achieve utmost fairness of the race.
4.依據鴿眼照, 每隻都附了黃氏認證區線圖, 點出每隻鴿子在各種競翔環境下的競爭力預測. 再與實際比賽結果相對
照. 一場比賽下來, 應該會增加很多心得.
A HLDAS chart is developed for each pigeon facilitating the forecast of racing result which to be
compared later with actual racing result to have more fan and enhancement of knowledge about pigeon
racing.
